As a former prosecutor and now a defense attorney for more than twenty years, David Steele has first-hand experience with both sides of the criminal justice system. He has devoted his practice to fighting for clients who have needed someone they can count on, someone who would listen to them, and someone who would be there for them.
Helping others is important to David. He was born at Travis Air Force Base in Northern California and, as the son of an Air Force veteran, has lived or traveled virtually all over the world. As a child, David learned how to adapt to new situations and look at problems from differing points of view. He learned how to listen to people, how to treat them with respect, and how to speak to them in a way they could understand.
David graduated Cum Laude from the University of Utah in 1989 with a degree in Political Science and Economics. After graduation, David worked for the U.S. Air Force and the Defense Nuclear Agency in Boston, Massachusetts, and Washington D.C., respectively, before deciding to go back to graduate school to earn a Master’s Degree in History at Eastern Kentucky University in 1996. After graduate school, David moved to Highland Heights to attend Chase College of Law at NKU and has resided in Northern Kentucky ever since.
After graduating law school in 1999, David has been an attorney in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. During that time, he served as a public defender, an assistant County Attorney in Boone County, and as a private practitioner. David has handled cases involving probate, small claims, civil litigation, and criminal defense. In twenty years, there is not much that he hasn’t seen.
David is an avid golfer and sportsman and enjoys spending time outdoors with his family and friends.
